These are the first mixed glove I've really loved. I've used waterski gloves, paddling gloves, snowboarding gloves, construction gloves, you name it, the Deviants are dead on. I cut the big floppy Velcro pieces off as they don't really do anything and then just use 'em as is. They aren't designed for ice climbing obviously, but they do well there too if it's dry and all you need is something to keep the snow off as you move while warm.
Try keeping them inside your shirt to keep them warm between burns, this really helps a lot, drys them out and makes putting them on pleasant.
