Canadian Nationals General Info
How to get to Golden: The best place to fly into is the Calgary International Airport, less than 3 very scenic hours from Golden. Stop at Banff, Lake Louise, it's really a nice drive through some some of Canada's best natioanal parks--"normal" people come from all over the world to check out.
Camping: The Golden Eco Adventure Ranch is beside the Nicholson LZ at the base of Mt. 7, and will also be the meet HQ. Please book early, the campground is filling up fast. There's also WiFi in most of the campground.

Launch Notes: The main launch is Lookout, which will be open to general flying for most of the day, and only closed to non-comp pilots during the competition launch window. There will be no parking on top of the hill, a short (two minute) walk up is required. If we use the upper launch a longer walk (45 minutes) is required, good exercise for you. We may also use the Swansea launch or possibly Kicking Horse depending on wind direction. A launch line system will be used during the competition window, see the meet specific rules. The North/ northwest launch is fairly wide-open and can accomodate lots of gliders. The South launch was re-done last year, it's now much friendlier than it historically has been, enough room for three to four gliders to lay out and launch two at a time.
