This great route stands proud on the E face of Mt Sheol. It holds superb ice and provides great views over the lower part of Paradise Valley.
The route comes into full view as you emerge from the ski trail into lower Paradise Valley. After the second bridge crossing of Paradise Creek turn rightwards through the trees (there is sometimes a faint ski trail leading up the valley between Sheol Mt and Saddle Mt, as per the approach for ‘The Tease’) however follow this trail for only a few hundred meters and then strike directly up to the base of the route via an obvious snow slope. Grid 549928. The route is east facing.
The base of the main pitch can be reached by either a direct short pitch through the rock band below it (often not formed) or up an easy snow gully 100m to the right that reaches a snow ledge that can be followed back along to the base of the route.
Climb the obvious flow in one or two pitches. Rap the route from ice anchors and the rock band below via trees.
